Welcome to CDC 2017, January!

We are not taking invites right now, but this is the usual reminder that we will be starting for January. In a couple of days we will open up sign ups! This is just a quick journal to prepare and make sure everyone is ready.

Until then, here's a few reminders to take into consideration before you enter!

1) Are you new? If so, make sure this group is for you!
Take a look at the INFO & RULES Which will explain the basics of what you need know about the group. This is a hard challenge! The deadlines are serious, and you will be kicked if you're late even by a minute!

Speaking of deadlines, we had a lot of folks submitting past the midnight deadline last month and we let a lot slide. We won't be so lenient this time. If you submit after Midnight the night the daily piece is due, you will be disqualified from the challenge. AND REMEMBER. This is EST timezone. We go by the EST midnight timezone because nearly all of the folks helping to keep track are in that zone, as well, it's easier to figure out if everyone has submitted on time.

Can I start drawing for CDC? Yes! Feel free to draw in advanced for CDC as far as you want- however, we ask that you simply don't post your new designs anywhere until then, and keep them secret for CDC. The point is to come up with BRAND new designs, something you've never drawn before- BUT sometimes we can't help but get great ideas before the challenge begins. So, it's not a crime to jot down your design, so long as it's for CDC.
On this subject, just because you make a design to post for CDC does not in any ways mean the group owns your design. Feel free to use CDC as a way to design new original content for your stories, comics, or worlds you write.
